Elmore SPCA invites local businesses and individuals to participate in the Sponsor a Pet program, an opportunity to make a difference in the community and in the lives of our homeless pets in Clinton County. Pet sponsorship through Elmore could assist hundreds of amazing dogs and cats who are looking for their forever homes. In an effort to place our long-term residents into their new homes, we are calling on Clinton County businesses and individuals for their help!
Individuals and businesses may sponsor a pet each month by simply covering the adoption fee for that animal. Many of our long-term residents have not been adopted because they are older, have a medical condition, or just don’t stand out in the crowd. By covering the cost of adoption, you are spotlighting an animal in need and allowing adopters to put their own money toward potential medical bills, obedience training, or other comforts that their new beloved family member deserves.
Pet sponsorship is an excellent way to impact the life of a dog or cat without the responsibility of committing to a lifetime pet. During the Sponsor a Pet program, you can create awareness of your participation in the program by prominently displaying a picture and information about the pet at your place of business, or using other social media avenues, such as Facebook and Twitter. We will provide you with the pet’s bio and photo for your own marketing purposes. In return, your business and a photo of your selected pet will be posted on Elmore’s Facebook page.
In return for your sponsorship of one of Elmore’s dogs or cats, a sign will be posted on the animal's kennel for the duration of the animal's time at the Elmore. The sign will include your company’s name as well as the following message, “This dog/cat’s adoption fee is paid for by [your company/individual name here].” We will also highlight you and your sponsored animal on our Facebook page as part of our Sponsored Pets program.
Best of all, you're allowed to choose the dog or cat for the Sponsor a Pet program! Choose one of our charming canines or select one of our friendly felines. We are seeking pet sponsorship for our long-term residents, i.e. animals that have been at our shelter for longer than two months. Once your sponsored pet has been adopted, the sign will be removed from the pet’s kennel.
